Description

Nb. When generously proportioned, these Georgian wing armchairs provide comfort, elegance and sophistication to a sitting room or gentleman’s study. Traditionally the high backs provided added protection from drafts and helped to contain heat from an open fireplace.

They were first introduced in England in the 17th century.

They are sometimes referred to as wing-back, club chairs or library armchairs.
