Description

An exceptional George III period rosewood library partner’s desk, ca 1810.
Of very good colour and surface patina. Handles apparently original.

It is unusual to find these in made in rosewood. Almost invariably they are in mahogany.
Even the plinths are in figured rosewood. This has been a very costly desk when first supplied.

Useful large size and retaining an old green gilt-tooled leather writing surface. Crossbanded drawers.
Reverse side with eight working drawers and one dummy to the middle.

In exceptional condition and ready-to-use. This double-sided antique English partner’s desk divides into three separate sections.
A fine, versatile and sophisticated complement to any library, office or work area.
