Pair of Regency period simulated rosewood and caned armchairs, ca 1810.

Both of these elegant antique chairs have tight frames, and come with loose cushions in piped green velvet, float buttons and ties.

The frames are in simulated rosewood with reserves set within gilt lines.
Raised on unusually faceted and boldly outswept front legs.

One chair bearing a label suggesting American provenance.
