Small Regency Rosewood Brass Inlaid Cabinet Bookcase

A good small Regency rosewood brass inlaid cabinet bookcase.

A small Rosewood & Brass Inlaid Cabinet Bookcase.

A good English Regency period rosewood and brass inlaid chiffonier of excellent colour, and in superb condition.

This good quality cabinet or open bookcase survives with its original brassware.

This versatile antique would also make an attractive drinks, TV, audio cabinet or sideboard.

The eminent cabinet makers John McLean & Son 1770-1815 were responsible for the very best of these brass inlaid chiffoniers.

This one on offer is close to some of their designs. Often their furniture bears a trade label vis. V&A Museum London. Ref: Simon Redburn ‘John McLean & Son ‘, Furniture History Journal vol. X1V, 1978 figs 32b-34b.
