Description
A rare late 18th century amboyna occasional table.
Of rich mellow colour and well patinated.
George III period, circa 1790.
The slightly overhanging octagonal top inlaid with chequered ebony and boxwood lines, and centred by a circle, inlaid with radiating fans. The frieze containing a small working drawer. Raised on elegant tapering square legs terminating in the apparently original brass cappings and castors.
Useful as a lovely antique Georgian side table, lamp table, or small centre table.
