A rare oil on copper painting of a hawking scene attributed to Carel Van Falens. Circa 1700.

A fascinating picture of a hawking scene, with elegant mounted figures with their attendants on foot, with a hawk, and hunting dogs.

Nb. This antique painting – executed at the turn of the 18th century – is in fine, unrestored state. Historically re-framed. Note the interesting markings to the copper plate verso.
