Description

A set of eight English Regency period brass-inlaid dining chairs, with a set of four similar, circa 1815.

In simulated rosewood with profuse fine cut-brass panels in the top rails, which have elegantly carved crestings with horizontal brass inlaid back splats. All of good colour and patination.
In excellent condition with tight joints throughout, and rewebbed calico slip-in seats. Ready-to-use.

All raised on elegant sabre legs. The inboard top rails help to date these antique chairs to pre-1820.

These 12 early-19th century chairs came from the house with an additional Regency period simulated rosewood sabre-leg chair, which is included for free.
