A mid-18th century South German commode (kommode) or chest of drawers, circa 1750.
This classic and good quality antique baroque (barock) commode is veneered in walnut, burr walnut and various fruitwoods, all applied within borders, and with a bold double-serpentine front.
It retains lovely old wax surfaces and has a very good rich colour.
Raised on typical flattened bun feet.
Correct mounts, probably original.
Apparently original key.
