Description

A small English antique walnut kneehole desk or dressing table circa 1730.

The crossbanded, herringbone inlaid, quarter veneered top over one long and six short drawers, fitted with engraved brass plate handles. Recessed cupboard in the kneehole. Raised on bracket feet.
This charming country made walnut kneehole desk is of good colour, retains old surface patination and survives with the majority of its original mounts and locks. An interesting inscription IS 33 suggests a date of 1733.
