An antique English mahogany dressing chest. Ca. 1800.
In fine, original condition and pleasing small proportions.
All fronts and top are in the highest quality matched ‘flame’ veneers with beautifully faded and patinated surfaces.
The slightly overhanging top has a moulded edge.
Fitted with a pull out slide above graduated cock beaded, oak lined drawers.
Raised on bold out swept bracket feet with shaped aprons.
NB. The extremely high quality of this mahogany dressing chest would suggest it most likely was commissioned for a major room in the house.
