Nb. These compact proportions, caddy top, four graduated long drawers, and its original handles, locks and feet distinguish this Georgian walnut chest, or commode.
The original fitted brushing slide to the top drawer is an unusual feature to encounter.
It has a quartered-veneered top with book-marked, well-chosen veneers throughout.
Best quality English oak linings with pine drawer fronts and boxwood line inlay.
A rare survivor, some 275 years old, retaining good soft colour and patina.
In excellent condition throughout.
