Description

An exceptional George III period rosewood library partner’s desk, circa 1810.

It is unusual to find these in made in rosewood – almost invariably they are in mahogany.
Even the plinths are in figured rosewood. This has been a very costly desk when first supplied.

Of a useful large size and retaining an old green, gilt-tooled leather writing surface. Crossbanded drawers.
Reverse side with eight working drawers and one dummy to the middle.

In exceptional condition and ready-to-use. This double-sided antique English partner’s desk divides into three separate sections. Very good colour and surface patination. Handles apparently original.

A fine, versatile and sophisticated complement to any library, office or work area.
