Description
A pair of Regency period simulated rosewood and caned armchairs.
Early 19th century, circa 1810.
Both of these elegant antique (Georgian) chairs have tight frames and come with loose cushions in piped green velvet, float buttons and ties.
The back splats are centred by radiating caned ovals above horizontal lattice work.
The frames are in simulated rosewood, with reserves set within gilt lines.
Raised on unusually faceted and boldly outswept front legs.
One chair bearing a label showing potential American provenance.
