Description
A small late-18th century secretaire bookcase / cabinet.
George III-period, circa 1790.
Of very good rich colour and well patinated.
Inlaid and crossbanded throughout.
Only 2’5″ wide.
Mounts are correct for period but apparently replaced in the 19th century.
The domed pediment is centred with a satinwood lozenge.
The whole raised on swept bracket feet, with a shaped apron.
A lovely elegant antique in excellent condition overall.
From the deceased estate of a lady.
