Small Regency period hanging wall shelves circa 1810

Unusually small, rare and elegant set of three-tier Regency period hanging wall shelves in mahogany of very good colour.
The individual shelves are faced with brass lines and turned bone roundels.
The top tier with four turned ball finials.
The whole with twin ribbon-tied wall brackets.

These useful antique English wall shelves are flanked by arched 'Gothic' tracery wirework. In its original state.

These useful antique English wall shelves are flanked by arched ‘Gothic’ tracery wirework. In original condition.

NB. The more usually encountered hanging wall shelves may have held books, but these delicately drawn and sophisticated shelves would more likely have been used for the display of prized fine porcelain pieces.
