Louis XV ormolu-mounted transitional period commode, or chest of drawers, with amaranth, tulipwood & fruitwood marquetry and parquetry. Ca 1765.

In superb condition.

The two working drawer fronts centred by a marquetry panel of musical trophies.
The canted angles inlaid to simulate columns, with conforming marquetry sides.
With a grey veined antique marble top, and gilt ormolu mounts.

This antique 18th century commode comes from a private collection.
